Embracing individuality and encouraging imagination
Classic and creative
I am a children’s photographer based in Wodonga. My passion to capture children in my unique fantasy sessions and fine art style really brings me joy.
Fantasy Session
Does your child love outer space, fairies, superheroes or other mythical creatures? Have they ever wished they could fly or be a princess?
Fantasy Sessions are an investment of $700, and are specially designed and inspired by you and your child’s imagination.
Your child’s Fantasy Session will involve telling their story and while we work together to create their enchanting composite artwork, ready to display in your home.
The photo shoot itself is roughly an hour and takes place in my professional studio.
Your child will enjoy the opportunity to play pretend and let their imagination run wild while they tell me their stories, and I capture their pictures; I may also prompt and guide them as we go along to make sure we have the perfect pose for the story we’re planning to tell.
After your photoshoot, I work my magic to create your child’s masterpiece. Once ready to be unveiled to the world your child’s masterpiece will be printed on a 16x20in 450gsm archival canvas, ready for hanging on the wall.
Fine Art Portraits
A fine art portrait is intended to be displayed as wall art to make an artistic statement. It’s more than your average happy snaps in the park. These portraits are timeless and capture the essence of the person’s character in a vision crafted by your photographer using an array of props, clothing and strategic lighting. Fine art portrait photography delivers maximum impact and depicts emotion in the artist’s distinctive style.
Sessions are held in my studio or select outdoor locations and are carefully planned to create the most striking images in my distinctive editing style.
Fine Art Portrait Photoshoot Session fee $250.
Photo Packages start from $300 for a selection of 5 images, delivered as 7x10in prints mounted in a matboard, ready for framing.
My child has a drawing of a superhero they created. Can you turn them into their superhero?
Yes I can, We’ll use the picture as a reference and discuss what backgrounds etc would work best to create their vision.
I’m not very creative. Can you help me come up with an idea for my child’s fantasy portrait?
I sure can! I have so many ideas. We can discuss what your child likes and come up with some ideas together.
I have triplets. Can they all be in one Fantasy artwork?
You sure can. Let’s brainstorm ideas for a Fantasy theme that includes all of your children so that they can each feature in the final masterpiece.
How are fine art portraits different from other photography styles?
My editing style is focused on turning our vision into reality. Creative and artistic editing is more than your average photographer simply removing a zit. We also get to explore the use of props and lightning in the scene.
Why aren’t your subjects smiling?
Fine art portraiture isn’t about forced smiles and awkward posing. My creative style focuses on who the person is, what they’re doing, and the often emotive meaning behind their image.
What can I expect from my session with you?
You can expect to have fun. I encourage silliness and bad Dad jokes. Sessions move quickly and are relaxed and easygoing.
What should I wear?
We’ll go over what you could wear when we plan your session, but for fantasy sessions, it depends on what story we’re telling; it could be something as simple as jeans and a t-shirt.
Fine art sessions are similar in that it depends on the look we are trying to create. Pick your favourite dress or fancy outfit, or select from my range of costumes and accessories.
What happens if we are sick on the date we’ve scheduled our photoshoot?
These things can’t be helped. If you or the kids are sick with cold and flu symptoms then we will reschedule, and vice versa if I am unwell.
When will my photos be ready?
Fantasy Session images can take 3 weeks to create.
Fine Art Portraits can be faster with 1 social media “sneak peak” image ready around 4 days after our session, and then 2 weeks later your gallery will be ready to select your favourites.
Great! How do I book my session?
Once I have a few details from you, I’ll send you my contract and an invoice for the packages you’ve chosen. A signed contract and my non-refundable deposit paid in full are required to secure your session time.
When is payment due?
Full payment of the remainder of the invoice is due the day of your session. Editing of your images will not commence until this is settled.
What if I would like more photos than the package I originally chose?
That’s great! You are more than welcome to upgrade to a different package or select from my a la carte menu per image if you’d like to.
